The history of Lowara
Lowara was founded in 1968 and is headquartered in Montecchio Maggiore near Vicenza. Over the past 50 years, the company has built a strong reputation as a supplier of high quality hydraulic pumps for various sectors.
In 1986, Lowara was acquired by the American company Goulds Pumps Inc., which was later sold to ITT Industries in 1997. Through this acquisition, Lowara became one of the largest pump manufacturers in the world.
In 2011, Xylem completed its separation from ITT Corporation and began a new chapter as a leading company in water technologies.
